What an outstanding start to the week. The B&T Agency of the Year finalists have just been announced, and I’m incredibly proud that AFFINITY has been nominated amongst the best agencies in Australia in three separate categories:
- State Agency of the Year – NSW
- Performance Agency of the Year
- People & Culture Award – Under 100 Employees
A huge thanks to the judges and B&T for considering what is always a mountain of entries, and thanks especially for recognising our efforts amongst those.
Noticeable in this year’s finalists was the sheer diversity of agencies and businesses, with plenty of new names alongside the stalwarts – it’s exciting to see a groundswell of progress and new thinking to help the industry remain relevant. And it’s genuinely humbling to be in truly great company with leading agencies big and small, independent and network-owned.
Our success is only due to our wonderful clients and a brilliant team at AFFINITY who bring their best thinking each and every day – without them, we’re just a name.
As a final note of pride, I’m thrilled AFFINITY has been recognised for its outstanding People & Culture, especially over the year that was. We’d never entered this category before, but Liz Hayes and Angela Smith have worked tirelessly over the past couple of years to create a positive and nurturing environment across the entire team, and it’s awesome to see their efforts acknowledged.
Our employee promise is to help grow the way our people think; to be inclusive and provide connection; to develop our emotional intelligence; and to invest in everyone’s mental health, alongside the expected training and professional development initiatives. It would have been easy for our P&C team to simply do the bare minimum over the past 18 months, but instead they raised the bar by building a better experience for our team every day.
