Think You Know Data?

In recent years, data has become a bigger part of the conversation about effective marketing here and everywhere around the globe – especially in the context of digital advertising.

Whether you use data to improve your digital targeting, enhance your attribution modelling or to identify customer insights, the increasingly rapid evolution of everything data-related is guaranteed to keep you busy.

The newest edition of IAB’s Data Handbook was released last week, updating the 2017 edition. It provides a great refresher on the various types, definitions, best practices, management and usage of data.

If you’re up for a challenge, test your knowledge before downloading the handbook:

  • What is second-party data?
  • What’s a CDP and what is it used for?
  • What is data minimisation?
  • What is a “random forest” attribution model?

Check your answers in the data handbook, downloadable here

Way back in 2014, AFFINITY hired its first data scientist. A forward-thinking move for an advertising agency as this wasn’t the done thing in agency or client-land. Why did we do this? The short answer is, data excites us & we could see its potential.  Fast forward to 2020, where we continue to keep our finger on the pulse of the latest data trends, insights and platforms so you don’t have to.

Call us if you’d like us to share some of our big and small data-driven wins along the way.
