To celebrate the end of the year, we had a little competition here at Affinity – to decorate a deer with our very own interpretation of holiday spirit and stimulate our creativity.
For me, Aussie Christmas is all about summer and the beach. So I created Beach Deer – complete with sunscreen, sunglasses and its own stretch of sand. Beach Deer had found Sydney, met new friends (little duckies – inspired by Sydney Fest giant duck) and resigned from sleigh duties to stay. And my idea won!
But it was amazing how every single deer was different. Everyone had a very unique interpretation of festivity. From minecraft to rain puns, from sprinkles to sparklers. The people’s favourite was the Cuts of Deer, no prizes for guessing this idea came from the black humour recesses of our CD’s mind.
