Yesterday, Campaign Brief posted about Dogtober, a campaign to raise awareness about Assistance Dogs. Apart from being a bit late in October… four days to go and counting, the following comment really tickled us:
“I wish to raise awareness of ‘October’. It’s a month in the Gregorian calendar wedged between September and Movember (formerly ‘November’) that has since been rebranded Rocktober, Ocsober and, most recently, Dogtober. Marketing ideas most welcome. Stupid puns preferred.”
He or she has a really good point. How many awareness days, weeks and months can a calendar bear? Seriously. Enough already, can we move on with a fresh idea people.
Oh and don’t get us started on “awareness”. What about ideas that make people think differently and affect their behaviour? Is it really too much to ask?
