There’s no question for us, the Effies are the most important night of the year on the Awards Calendar.
Not only must winners demonstrate great creative and strategic thinking, they must unequivocally prove their work delivered real value to their client’s business.
Decisions on who’s going to win, are driven by the most rigorous of judging processes – led this year, by Chairman of Judges, Colin Wilson-Brown, through three separate stages of judging; with 175 agency and marketing leaders amongst them.
Basically, they’re bloody hard to win! And if you pick up a gold, you know your stuff truly works.
Focusing on measurable results is embedded in everything we do at AFFINITY, and we use the Effies as a benchmark for keeping us honest.
So to come home (early last Friday morning) with a haul of four trophies, including an epic Gold for Use of Data, we’re proud to be living our promise.
Our total places us as the most effective independent agency in Australia, and third overall! In conjunction with our APAC Effie wins earlier this year, we are honoured to be Australia’s #1 Most Effective Independent Agency 2017, again. We were the country’s most effective indie in 2016, and are looking forward to the arrival of our first black Effie any day now.
We couldn’t be happier. Thanks especially to our gold winning client, Mike Aylward at Flordis, for his courage in being a first mover and backing our data smarts to directly generate strong sales in a tough FMCG health market last year.
